| Barton Turf | Nelson's sister Catherine and her family (the Matchams) lived at Barton Hall. Nelson visited her there. |

After Susannah's death at Bradenham(see above) Thomas Bolton moved to Burnham Market(now Bolton House). Emma and Horatia stayed with him there, and Horatia lived with Thomas after Emma's death. | Great Yarmouth |
Nelson landed at Yarmouth in November 1800 after his overland journey from Naples. The Wrestler's Inn was renamed the Nelson Hotel in his honour(see below). In March of 1801 the Baltic Fleet with Nelson as Vice Admiral assembled in the Yarmouth Roads prior to the Battle of Copenhagen. On June 29 1801 Nelson landed at Yarmouth on his return from Copenhagen see also The Nelson Monument and the Maritime Museum. |

Nelson's Grandfather, father and brother all served as rectors of All Saint's Church, Hilborough. When Nelson was elevated o the peerage he took the title "Baron Nelson of the Nile and Hilborough" |
| Holkham |
Holkham was the estate of Thomas William Coke. When Nelson was unemployed between 1787 and 1793, Nelson had to have his pension documents signed by Coke. Holkham Hall has a Nelson Room and various Nelson artefacts which are not open to the public. |

Captain Maurice Suckling, Nelson's maternal uncle was from Woodton. It was he who first took the twelve year old Horatio to sea early in 1771. Nelson had visited Woodton as a young boy. |
